Woodstock, IL, 4/14/09 - Precision Quincy Corp. has been quite an active player so far on the 2009 trade show circuit.
Taking full advantage of 2009’s ‘trade show season’, Precision Quincy’s ovens division has participated in a number of popular and growing industry exhibitions so far this year. One such show was the ACMA’s (American Composites Manufacturers Association) Composites and Polycon 2009 show, held this past January in Tampa, FL. The show focuses on the rapidly growing composites and plastics industries. Composites are commonly used in a wide variety of strong, but lightweight products ranging from advanced spacecraft to sporting goods to joint implants. Precision Quincy’s ovens are an integral part of the manufacturing process of many of the companies at the forefront of this emerging industry.
March of this year brought about a trip out west to Las Vegas for the Coatings 2009 West show, which was sponsored by The Powder Coating Institute (www.powdercoating.org) and the Chemical Coaters Association International (www.ccaiweb.com). This regional show was the 1st of two shows scheduled under the Coatings 2009 banner. The ‘West’ show’s focus was on custom coaters, architectural, ACE (agriculture & construction equipment), military and aerospace/aviation finishing; industries in which Precision Quincy is a key contributor. The 2nd regional event will be held in Nashville, TN and is scheduled for early October. This upcoming 2nd show, referred to as Coatings 2009 East will again find Precision Quincy among its list of exhibitors; only this time with a focus specifically on the coating of automotive, appliance, heat sensitive substrates (wood & plastic) and general metals.
A few short weeks later Precision Quincy found themselves trekking up north into the still chilly environs of Minnesota for yet another coatings-related expo: the 7th annual Minnesota Paint & Powder Coating Expo held at Century College in White Bear Lake, MN. This paint and powder coating focused show was sponsored by the Twin Cities Chapter of the CCAI (see above) and the Minnesota Technical Assistance Program (MnTAP).
With a busy 1st quarter behind them, Precision Quincy is not done yet. A trip out west to San Diego, CA to participate and exhibit at the SME’s (Society of Manufacturing Engineers – www.sme.org) Composites Manufacturing & Tooling for Composites show awaits. This particular show’s focus is on the machining, tooling and component selection most often associated with composite work.
Rounding out the 1st half of 2009, Precision Quincy will exhibit for the first time at the 2009 EASA Exhibition (Electrical Apparatus Service Association, Inc.) held June 14-16 in St. Louis, MO. The focus of this show will be on the sales and service industries of the electrical apparatus (AC & DC motors, generators, transformers, etc.) industry.
Precision Quincy is a long time manufacturer of industrial ovens and shelters; providing high quality products and top notch customer service since 1943.
